Gran Turismo PSP Review
It was announced with 175 cars and 11 tracks, but I never got around to test this game. It was released in December of 2005, and I was spending all my holiday money on it. I was so disappointed in the discontinued formula racing that I wouldn’t even give Sony or Sonyista a chance. Fortunately for that I have a PSP and it’s the only platform I could play this game on, so that was not a problem. สล๊อตเว็บตรงแตกง่าย
The game itself can’t be considered completely finished, though. While it has 30 cars, 11 tracks and 3 different modes, I still feel like there are more that could be added. The damage system can be very annoying, and I didn’t like that there were no damage models in the game. Even the modes, crash, point, time and lack of a resume system were very annoying. One of the things that I did like about Gran Turismo PSP was the great graphics, but that has been refined for Gran Turismo 5. There still are those pictures with the different cars in it, but they have been enhanced.
The presentation of Gran Turismo PSP returns with much better graphics and a much improved menu. The driving view is pretty much the same, but the menu has been updated a bit. There are nice subtle movements in the menus, and the cars have been modelled really good. The driving view is also much more interactive and you actually have to use your IR eyes to spot some of the cars. I was way to close to the cars on the straight, and barely noticed them on the curves.
Gran Turismo PSP’s graphics definitely hold their ground, even though it’s a PSP. I was very impressed the amount of detail in the environments, and the cars all looked like the real thing. I was also very impressed that the cars ran way better than the PSP. I was literally shocked when I put the game in my PSP and it didn’t reboot.
Because the PSP doesn’t have a DTS sound capability, there is nothing better than when you go to a store and see an actual car in gear and with racing stripes on it. That’s what I was searching for using the PSP. Then I went online and found out that there are other cars that can be unlocked, which is much sweeter.
Gran Turismo PSP gameplay returns, and is very much improved from the last installment. I really liked that there is a full driving experience that takes place in a realistic non racing environment. That is something that really enhances Gran Turismo’s re-playability. You can unlock cars by doing different things, playing different modes of racing, or even by creating different profile cars. Some of the modes include time trials, races, crew skills, and many others.
Gran Turismo PSP’s graphics set a new standard for racing games on the PSP and is definitely the best in the genre. Some may not agree, but I do, and Gran Turismo shouldered its competition in the quality and detail of the graphics. The presentation of the game is top notch and really makes you feel like you are in the race car and not just a passenger. The cars all look like the real thing and the tracks are very realistic. If you have a PSP, this is a must have for you. Did I mention that the gameplay is very good? It is, but that’s not why I like Gran Turismo.
I really liked that there is a full career mode for Gran Turismo in the game. There are really great tracks and cars, and the cars can be unlocked. So even if you’ve played the game before, you can go back and experience the fun of the game with a bunch of your friends. This is something that most racing games lack.
Gran Turismo PSP’s other great feature is the rally mode. You can enter different rally heats up in different countries and compete for the overall win. This is very fun and is definitely what made me want to purchase the PSP in the first place.
When you purchase Gran Turismo PSP, you will be rewarded with a code that is ready to be given to you – this is where you can also download other great stuff for your PSP. This includes games, and other great stuff. Most PSP games can be downloaded from the PlayStation Network Store, and this is a no brainer. The best part of downloading stuff from the PlayStation network store is that it is legal. That is 100% legal, and also the best part of downloading stuff from the PlayStation network store is that it is safe. They aren’t going to distribute any tricks that exploit the games like virus’ and plots that are not true.
To sum it up, if you like driving games, this is the game for you. Even if you do not like driving games, you still need to get this game.
